Washable UHF RFID Care Labels
HUAYUAN washable UHF RFID care labels integrate a UHF RFID transponder directly into a soft textile care label, allowing RFID identification to become part of the garment itself rather than being added as a separate tag. Designed for apparel applications, the label combines item-level RFID identification with the flexibility, printability and washability required for a label that remains with the garment during everyday use.
By integrating and encoding the RFID care label during garment manufacturing, each finished garment can be given a unique digital identity from the beginning. This identity can then be used in subsequent processes such as inventory, stocktaking, receiving and distribution, depending on the RFID system and operational requirements.
Designed as a Garment Care Label
An RFID care label needs to provide reliable UHF RFID identification while retaining the practical characteristics expected from a textile care label. HUAYUAN combines the RFID transponder with a thin, soft textile structure designed for permanent garment integration.

Designed for garments that undergo normal use and domestic washing. Actual washing performance can vary with washing temperature, detergent, mechanical action, drying conditions and garment integration, so evaluation under the intended conditions is recommended.

Care instructions, product information, branding and variable data can be printed on the textile label surface, combining visible garment information and digital RFID identification within the same label format.

From Garment Manufacturing to RFID Identification
Integrating the RFID care label during garment manufacturing establishes item identity as part of the finished product. Once encoded and incorporated into the garment, each label carries a unique RFID identifier that can be associated with product, production, inventory or other information in the user’s system.
UHF RFID enables garments to be identified without direct line of sight and, in an appropriate reading environment, allows multiple items to be read together. The same RFID identity can therefore remain with the garment as it moves from manufacturing into inventory, distribution, receiving and other item-level identification processes.
RFID performance in the finished garment depends on more than the RFID IC itself. Antenna design, label dimensions, garment material, label position and the surrounding reading environment can all influence the result. For this reason, the RFID care label should be evaluated as part of the finished garment rather than as an isolated RFID component.

Printing and RFID encoding can be prepared according to project requirements, including care information, branding, variable data and EPC encoding. Where different dimensions, RFID ICs or antenna configurations are required, further customization can be evaluated based on technical feasibility and expected project volume. Customized RFID development normally requires sufficient volume to justify antenna development, testing and production setup.
Garment material, label position, RFID reading environment and expected washing conditions can all affect final performance. For new applications, we recommend testing samples with the actual garment and intended RFID system before volume production.
